The learning curve is pretty steep, really, once you figure out some of the basics. For example, don't try to draw stuff right the first time round, just sketch and scribble, then stick another layer on top and refine it a bit, then stick another layer on top of that and refine it a bit more. Repeat until insane. Eventually you get something that looks a little like what you were trying to draw in the first place. Of course I expect there are people out there who can get a drawing looking perfect in the first layer, but I'm just not one of them.
Anyways, I'm off to have another crack at drawing a decent picture. Any tips on colouring would be greatly appreciated, because as you can see I kinda suck. Also, backgound FAIL. Any tips there?
